Preparing Your UTV for Its New Armor
Before fitting your new utv covers, a little preparation goes a long way in ensuring maximum protection and the longevity of both your vehicle and its cover. Having your UTV clean and dry is ideal. Any dirt, dust, or debris left on the surface can potentially scratch the finish once the cover is in place, especially during transit. We have not experienced any scratches or damage from the covers, but recommend having a clean front before long distances at highway speeds. Also, take a moment to inspect your utv covers for any packaging creases; unfolding it gently will help it conform to your vehicle's contours more easily.
The Art of a Perfect Fit
Our custom car covers are designed for a tailored, snug fit, making installation intuitive. Begin by moving the windshield wiper up and off of the windshield. Unlock the windshield and put it in the open position. Hook the fixed, upper straps around the corners of the windshield, then put the lower elastic straps around the bottom corners of the windshield. Close the windshield, then fold the cover over the rest of the front of the machine, putting the cover behind any bully bar or any other bumper/bar. When possible, loop the side straps around the frame of the UTV and buckle. Buckle the front strap around the metal frame or through the winch. You'll notice how the handcrafted design follows the unique lines of your UTV, distinguishing it from generic utv accessories. Our competitors only protect the windshield. This cover protects your headlights, radiator and hood from damaging rock chips and annoying bug guts.
Securing for the Journey Ahead
Once the custom UTV covers are properly positioned, it's time to secure them for ultimate towing protection. Our covers are equipped with robust securing mechanisms—whether they are straps, buckles, or a combination—designed to withstand highway speeds and various weather conditions. Start by fastening the straps under the vehicle, making sure they are snug but not overtightened. Work methodically from front to back, or according to specific instructions provided with your cover, ensuring all securing points are engaged. This critical step prevents flapping and ensures your investment remains protected, rock-chip free, from departure to arrival.
Long-Term Care for Your Custom Cover
Proper installation is just the first step in ensuring your utv covers provide lasting protection. After each use, especially after a long tow, it’s a good practice to quickly check the cover for any accumulated dirt or road grime. Cleaning it regularly with mild soap and water, and allowing it to air dry completely before storing, will maintain its quality and protective properties. Storing the cover neatly folded in a dry place also helps prevent unnecessary wear and tear, keeping it ready for your next adventure.
